At EverC we value our employees at every level and we're committed to making our organization a great place to work. Promoting team members within the organization is a win-win strategy for both our company and our people.
From a business standpoint, providing a path to advancement within our company helps us to retain institutional knowledge. This depth of understanding fuels the innovation of our solutions, giving our team the information to develop valuable insights to drive ideation and problem-solving.
One of our recent internal promotions, Julia Matuti, who started three years ago as an analyst and now leads a Solution Analytics Squad, is a notable example of these values. “As an analyst, I gained hands-on experience across multiple squads,” says Julia. “Today, I’m proud to lead a team of analysts that are versatile and deeply involved in supporting every squad. Drawing from the knowledge and insights I’ve gained throughout my journey at EverC, I’ve developed a strong understanding of the diverse challenges and opportunities within each field.”
In addition to individual experience, team members with institutional knowledge can apply those learnings on a holistic level, for a deeper perspective and an ability to pivot. One of Julia’s main goals for her team is to “harness our comprehensive, cross-functional view of the data to uncover insights that drive smarter, data-informed decisions. We excel at connecting the dots—linking data across teams, aligning algorithms with customer-specific needs, and bridging the gap between our solutions and the unique challenges our customers face. We anticipate challenges and create data-driven solutions that enhance workflows and foster innovation across the board.”
Promoting from within sends a strong message that professional work and dedication are recognized and rewarded, motivating employees to strive for excellence. This improves job satisfaction and retention rates, which is evident from Julia’s perspective: “This role represents an exciting shift for me, from focusing on specific projects to leading a team that drives value company-wide. Our team’s mission is to deliver data-driven solutions and actionable insights across all squads, empowering them to excel and innovate.”
According to the iHire 2024 Talent Retention Report survey, 56.3% of respondents said they would be more likely to stay with an employer that supported their career growth by providing “clear advancement opportunities/paths to promotion.”
Promoting within helps EverC to create a positive culture and work environment where development, learning, and career progression are prioritized. This aligns with our forward-thinking mission and supports sustainable leadership at our organization into the future.
Perhaps most important, promoting from within enables team members to build strong relationships over time, promoting a culture of mutual trust and support. This level of trust creates teams that are more engaged and excited to grow, which benefits our company as a whole, according to Julia: “By aligning individual aspirations with our collective goals, we’ll build a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration, creativity, and purpose. Together, we’ll achieve great things.”
